If we like exotic animals and have never had a chance to see them live this zoo in Wroclaw, it will be ideal for this place. Wroclaw Zoo is primarily the oldest zoological garden in Poland, its opening date is July 10, 1865. The area of the garden is 33 hectares. In 2015 the Zoo of Wroclaw presented over 10 500 animals from 1132 species.
This place is the fifth most visited zoo in Europe. An ideal opportunity to spend a day with your family. Of course, the zoo itself is not the only attraction, as the building’s infrastructure includes several valuable objects representing 19th-century historicism and eclecticism. A large part of the buildings from the period of the uprising is the work of architects such as Albert Graua and Karl Schmidt. In 1897 the success of the zoo in Wroclaw is certainly: Malay tapir, because it was the first tapir born in the history of zoos. On August 16, 2010, a male hippopotamus was born. And at the beginning of 2012 hatched Philippine hiss – this is the first in the world of this species obtained outside the Philippines.
If this does not convince you, then you may be convinced that you are breeding of vascularized giraffes, that grows very well there and which of course you can admire. We may also encounter brown paddles, lynx and even catwalk or terai pavilions – a building with outdoor runways and a cage inhabited by Indian rhinoceros. So cameras comfortable shoes are welcome.
If we decide to go for a getaway, we can always arrange a means of transport that will put you in a safe and comfortable way in time!
