Oświęcim– is located 65 kilometers west of Cracow. It is most often associated with a concentration camp. In 1947 the camp was transformed into a museum and declared a monument to the martyrdom of many nationalities, while in 1979 the museum was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
A perfect place to get to know the history of the times and the camp itself. To properly familiarize yourself with the place that has become the symbol of the Holocaust of crimes committed on Poles or Roma, it is necessary to visit both parts of the former camp. It’s about Auschwitz and about Birkenau. To see all of Auschwitz you should spend about 2 hours. and at least a second to know Birkenau – so we recommend one day holiday.
We can count on most of the facilities of the former Auschwitz I and Auschwitz-II Birkenau camps. Having visited all this, we will surely meet the cinema, where we can watch a fifteen-minute documentary, showing the first moments after the liberation of the camp. Also worth mentioning are the ruins of gas chambers and places filled with human powders, as well as primitive prisoners’ barracks, which can also be seen on nearly 200 hectares.
Persons interested in deepening their knowledge of Auschwitz can take advantage of the offer of lectures, workshops or even seminars organized by the International Education Center. A real treat for the fans of history.
On our side, we can take care of the transport organization to Auschwitz itself and back. We offer a comfortable, professional and always on time trip that you will never forget.
